Questa serie di piccoli disegni nasce dalla mia passione per le immagini fotografiche soprattutto analogiche e in bianco e nero. In particolare sono da sempre incuriosita dalle cartoline, dal loro piccolo formato, dal fatto che viaggiano fuori da una busta, portando messaggi visibili a tutti e affascinata dalle immagini un po’ stereotipate ma che nascondono scene e scorci casuali di luoghi del passato non così lontano.

Curiosando nei particolari disegno a matita quello che attira la mia attenzione, qualcosa che mi fa sorridere, un’architettura interessante o delle figure poetiche e aggiungo un tocco di rosa cipria.

La mia intenzione, come per altri miei lavori, è di viaggiare attraverso le immagini fotografiche, in quello che erano e che sono ancora (ma non sempre) i luoghi del viaggio, della vacanza. Il nome di questo progetto è infatti FRIGO BAR, un titolo che suggerisce in modo ironico, l’idea del viaggiare, dell’essere via da casa, di un’accoglienza nei luoghi visitati, del rifocillarsi anche o meglio dissetarsi.

This series of small drawings was born from my passion for photographic images, especially analogue and black and white. In particular, I have always been intrigued by postcards, by their small format, by the fact that they travel outside an envelope, carrying messages visible to all and fascinated by images that are a bit stereotyped but that hide scenes and random glimpses of places from the not so distant past.

Browsing in the details, I draw in pencil what catches my attention, something that makes me smile, an interesting architecture or poetic figures and add a touch of powder pink.

My intention, as for my other works, is to travel through photographic images, in what were and still are (but not always) the places of travel, of vacation. The name of this project is in fact FRIGO BAR, a title that suggests in an ironic way, the idea of traveling, of being away from home, of welcoming in the places visited, of refreshing oneself or rather quenching one's thirst.
