In my artwork I start from one thing or a handful of things like a shape seen passing by on the street, some thread, some color, an image, an object.From this small group of elements I imagine expanding or repeating an action for an infinite time, moving towards a work that slowly grows, expands or becomes gradually more solid until a certain point.

My work includes painting, embroidery, drawing, crocheted sculptural objects, and photography. In almost all cases the works take inspiration from something that comes from far away, in time or space, very often from an image or a series of images. I'm interested in setting something in action that gradually gives rise to an object. Even when the work takes arise from an image, for me, artwork it's much closer to a sculpture, something with a body, a structure.

My work contains slowness, emptiness, suspension, detachment, no choices to make, the possibility of let yourself go.
If I paint or embroider or do something else, it's because I like to immerse myself in that dimension, move over.
I think it could be an attempt to get closer to the crux, I think it's a way of life, a way to maintaim silence.
In short, it is an awareness of certain phenomena concerning the immaterial and the fleeting, making them a body, a little body, and allowing them to be seen.

I like spontaneous natural elements, basic architectural forms, and simple structures that arise from counting.
I like following some rules that give rise to my works, as if they were made by themselves.
I'm fascinated by analogic photography that I like searching in online archive and from which I take some details to bring them back into my paintings.

There is a certain exchange of consistencies, I consider painting as a sculpture, embroidery or drawing give a consistence to a photographic fragment , a crocheted work that has a “body” becomes an image.

Nel mio lavoro parto da una cosa o da una manciata di cose che possono essere una forma vista passare per strada, qualche filo, qualche colore, un'immagine, un oggetto trovato. Da questo piccolo gruppo di elementi immagino di espandere o ripetere l'azione per un tempo infinito, andando verso un'opera che cresce lentamente, si espande o si fa più densa fino ad un certo punto. Qualche volta non ce la fa a formarsi del tutto ma va bene lo stesso.

Nel mio lavoro sono presenti la pittura, il ricamo, il disegno, oggetti scultorei creati all'uncinetto, fotografie.  In quasi tutti i casi i lavori prendono spunto da qualcosa che viene da lontano, nel tempo o nello spazio, molto spesso da un'immagine o da una serie di immagini.

A me interessa mettere in azione qualcosa che piano piano da luogo ad un oggetto. Anche quando il lavoro ha la forma di un'immagine, per me è molto più vicino ad una scultura a qualcosa che ha un corpo, una struttura. Mi piace rendere visibile un percorso. Mi piace calarmi in un flusso.  

Il mio lavoro porta in sé lentezza, svuotamento, sospensione, distacco, nessuna scelta da fare, possibilità di abbandonarsi.

Se dipingo o se ricamo o altro è perchè mi piace calarmi in quella dimensione, spostarmi. Credo possa essere un tentativo di avvicinarmi ai noccioli, credo sia un modo per vivere, per affermare il silenzio. In poche parole è una presa di coscienza di alcuni fenomeni che riguardano l'immateriale e il fuggevole, farne un corpo, un corpicino e permetterne la vista.

Sono attratta dalle fotografie analogiche in questo periodo, giornalistiche o amatoriali. Mi piacciono gli elementi naturali spontanei, le forme architettoniche elementari, le strutture semplici che scaturiscono dal contare. Mi piace seguire alcune regole che danno luogo ai miei lavori, come se si facessero da sé.

La pittura, i ricami, le forme all'uncinetto, la fotografia che di volta in volta utilizzo, hanno in comune il fatto di realizzarsi con due o tre elementi materiali. Anche nella fotografia apprezzo il lato materico e artigianale dei processi. C'è un certo scambio di consistenze, la pittura come una scultura, il ricamo o il disegno rendono materiale una fotografia, l'uncinetto che ha un corpo diventa un'immagine.
